A couple of weeks ago, I had the pleasure of attending and speaking at the VetriNurse CPD CPR event, VetSOS: Emergency Ultrasound and CPR Mastery.

I was joined by Caroline Taylor, a renowned specialist in veterinary imaging. Together, we navigated an intensive, practical-based program aimed at enhancing the emergency skills of veterinary professionals.

The VetriNurse CPD CPR event was a brilliant success, drawing enthusiastic participation and creating a highly engaging learning environment. One of the highlights was our deep dive into ultrasound and CPR techniques.

Caroline and I presented a series of comprehensive lectures, followed by interactive practical workshops that brought theory to life.

During these workshops, participants had the unique opportunity to scan real-life patients, testing their diagnostic abilities through hands-on practice.

This practical experience was invaluable, allowing attendees to immediately apply their new knowledge in a controlled, supportive setting.

Another standout feature of the event was the use of the Compression Pro Cube. This innovative tool allowed us to analyze the effectiveness of our chest compressions in real-time, providing immediate feedback and enabling us to fine-tune our technique.

Watching everyone engage with this technology was incredibly rewarding, as it added a dynamic and tangible aspect to our CPR training.

Live CPR Cube Training

For me, hosting this event was a refreshing change from my usual routine of traveling around the country delivering in-house CPD.

Organizing and leading my own event was a new and exciting challenge, and the overwhelmingly positive feedback we received has been incredibly rewarding.

Given the success of this VetriNurse CPD CPR event, I am thrilled to announce that we will be hosting another VetSOS: Emergency Ultrasound and CPR Mastery event in September. Tickets are now available, and I encourage you to secure your spot early, as spaces are limited.

Attendees of our upcoming event can look forward to a variety of included resources. Each participant will receive printed speaker notes for easy reference, along with my bespoke CPR pocket guide, designed to be a handy resource in emergency situations.
